Day 3

As I opened my eyes this morning, the warm rays of sun engulfed my body. I sleepily got out of bed and had a milo. I got dressed and did my hair and started on my way to school. As I was walking down the street, I heard a peculiar noise. I followed the noise down a dark alley when the noise suddenly stopped. I blinked. And when I opened my eyes, I was surrounded by jungle! I heard a faint growl and as I turned around I found I was face to face with a baby lion cub. At first I was frightened, but that feeling soon left me when the little cub started purring and rubbing against my leg. The lion cub and I played all day. We tramped through the jungle for hours, taking in the sights and smells the filled my nostrils. For lunch I dined on wild jungle fruits, mangoes, bananas and the most delicious jungle strawberrys. I swam throughout vicious waterfalls and fell asleep in a meadow of deep, soft grass, with my lioncub friend next to me. In the evening, I slowly trudged back through the jungle, the intoxicating aroma of the jungle flowers flooding my mind for the last time. Finally, when I had made my way out of the jungle, I looked back. But all I saw was the end of the alley of which I had first entered earlier. I slowly made my way back home and hoped straight into bed.
